When you take one path. When you take one path, all other paths die and are left behind.

Such is the weight of all our choices.

But I'm not good at letting things die. I keep going back and dragging half-alive corpses around. Abomination!

You stink of the dead. Mark your endings and grieve them, foul beast!

    annabeth•...
I sometimes like to see the other paths as existing in alternate realities where I made that choice instead. I sometimes feel like Scarlet Witch, that in every other reality I have children, but not in this one....

benefits of not valuing paying more for quality services? . Was thinking about AI contributing to lower service rates by humans. I feel tension around this inevitable happening and had an insight that since we are moving toward lower costs, this could help usher in Universal Basic Income, a world where we don’t need to worry about how much we are making anyways. Does this make sense? It’s longterm though and there’s still a current today ouch to it all.

Cool about NASA! Along a similar vein, Calum Chase who writes AI books says read SciFi if you want to know the future. Thats its one of the best ways to sense what is coming.

Yeah this is a great idea! Let’s have fun with this someday in a TRC meeting, or a Monday facilitator time—share a problem we’re stuck with and then write some sci-fi in-the-moment about it.

I know right?? Similar for me, but with my brothers. They got hooked on The Next Generation and I happily went along on the ride. On the inception note- I think it was that same uber-nerd (a former boyfriend) who told me that NASA keeps like 4 science fiction writers on staff....

super cool. i’m grateful. I watched The Next Generation with my dad growing up and I’m so impressed with it’s vision and values. The rest of the Star Trek stuff never hooked me quite as much, and my guess is it’s because it didn’t have that same visionary quality—so many things...
